[ Home > Wines > Swanson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 ]|
Ruby in color with blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum aromas bursting from the glass. With secondary notes of black tea and dried hibiscus. A full and intense delivery on the palate with dusty tannins that support a long evolution of flavors. Plums, briar, blackberries and licorice all are present, with a touch of stone, all delivered in a rich textural mouthfeel.
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, shows much sweeter tannins, a dense purple color, loads of crème de cassis and vanilla, a medium to full body, attractive opulence, purity and length. This is outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 12-15 years." -Rated 90, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Aromas of menthol and ripe berries. Medium to full body, round tannins and a flavorful finish. A soft and delicious cab. Better in 2019." -Rated 90, James Suckling
