The Pruno selection is entirely aged in French oak Allier and Troncais tonneaux (350 litre) and barriques (225 litre capacity) for 15-18 months depending on the vintage. Aged in bottles for another 8/10 months before its release. This is an important wine of great character good for important occasions. Full bodied. Balanced acidity. Highly extracted. Sweet tannins. Red fruits, flowers, earth, and coconut. Deep, plush texture. Quite forward bursting with powerful, juicy fruit accented by lovely fragrance and sweet spice. Marvelous integration of all elements allows the extraction to keep pushing through the rich finish. |
