After the fermentation, the “II Tornese” Chardonnay stays on its noble lees for about 4-5 month, after racking, it goes back to age in wood for another 4-5 months. It is then bottled and aged in bottles for 18 months to finish its maturation. Chardonnay and Riesling from their own vineyards, Tornese is Drei Donà's white wine, an exceptional white from a terroir known for its great reds. Partially vinified in large oak casks, and aged at length 'sur lie'. Colour: straw yellow. Bouquet apricot and vanilla mixed with a trace of apple. Good consistency on the palate with full body and distinction. Wonderful with fish, shellfish, and cheese, but also with every other kind of food because of its structure and harmony. It is a wine full of elegance with a great structure. |
