This wine opens with fresh tropical fruit aromas of peach and pineapple, with hints of lime giving way to a slight toasty character. Outstanding balance shines upon entry, with good viscosity and acid providing a round mouthfeel, bolstered by bright tropical fruit tones and a nice mineral component. Capped by a finish that is clean and rich, the Dijon Clones Chardonnay may be enjoyed now or cellared for up to five years. "Better known for Cabernet, Pine Ridge has been doing an interesting job with Chardonnay. Every vintage is different, but usually worth a peek.
