Deep ruby-red in color, Clos Du Val’s 2006 Pinot Noir has an intense, complex nose of raspberry, strawberry, black cherry and spice, with a hint a vanillin. Flavors of ripe red berries, warm cinnamon and a touch of ginger linger on the palate, and oak is well-integrated and subtle. Soft, silky tannins round out this full bodied Pinot Noir, making it a wine that can be enjoyed now but will also cellar well for an additional 2-3 years. A balanced wine with good acidity, the 2006 Pinot Noir is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
