Careful handling throughout the wine growing season ensured optimal grape flavors. Low-yields, hand-tending and careful cluster selection maximized concentrated ripeness and complex flavor development. Grapes were gently crushed and destemmed before entering stainless steel tanks for a long, cool fermentation, focusing the intrinsic brightness and vibrant strawberry and plum flavors. Keeping the skins and juice in contact, frequent cap punch-down was utilized to build complexity. The resulting wine has a bright fruit focus with well-integrated flavors.
Opening with intense aromas of bright cherry, vanilla and fresh tobacco, this generous Pinot Noir has a supple body and lively acidity. Medium tannins knit together fresh flavors and earthy undertones for a well-balanced wine with lingering finish. As its name suggests, the Pinot Noir is a perfect companion to the casual, uncomplicated fare of bistro dining such as a charcuterie plate, pasta or simple meat dish.
