Colour: Brilliant, medium-to-high depth. Cherry red in the center of the glass with a garnet and tawny rim.
Aroma: Intense and complex to the nose. Aromas of spices and new wood (toasty, leather, vanilla and balsam) against a mild alcoholic background.
Palate: Well-finished. Powerful, enveloping tannic notes in the mouth that develop into an elegant meatiness and just the right acidity to match any dish.
