This is the first vintage that Grgich Hills Chardonnay vineyards were certified organic and Biodynamic. Beautifully balanced between acid, flavors and body, this Chardonnay displays notes of lemon zest, flowers and honey with a hint of crushed stones. Let the wine’s elegance shine by matching it with simple preparations of baked halibut, roasted chicken, grilled shrimp or pork, or pasta with a light cream sauce.

Best from 2009 through 2013. 24,074 cases made. –JL" -Rated 87, Wine Spectator Untitled " Straw-yellow. Musky aromas of peach and nutmeg lifted by a floral topnote. Broad and rich, with considerable spicy oak showing, but a firm minerality contributes to an impression of dryness. Today the wine's fruit is suppressed by its spicy oak." -Rated 88, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Untitled "Classically Grgich in its restrained first impressions, this fairly full and yet firm bottling reluctantly offers up notes of green apples, toasty oak and hints of lime in its aromas, but the wine surprises on the palate with much more evident depth to its firm, tight but promising flavors. This is a wine that has the right pieces in the right places for cellaring." -Rated 90, Connoisseur's Guide to California Wines
