Sangiovese, the primary grape of Tuscany’s Chianti, is also widely grown in other regions of Italy. This version is from the hills of the region of Abruzzo. Lively, fruity and fairly light, this charming Italian red has plently of fruit acidity, little or no wood and an ample aroma. A perfect wine to drink with pizza. APPELLATION: Terre di Chieti I.G.T. VARIETALS: 100 % Sangiovese VINEYARD: Calcareous, clay-like terrain rich with microelements. HARVEST: Mid-September harvest by hand of the most prized grapes of the vineyard. VINIFICATION: Grapes are destemmed and soft crushed. Fermented in stainless steel vats. AGING: Aged in large Slovenian oak barrels PRODUCTION: 3,000 cases |
