Dark cherry fruit aromas followed by earth tones and spicy cedar and brown baking spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Hints of black olive, cassis and gooseberry. The palate is rich and lush on the entry carrying fine grain tannins to a broadening mid palate and long finish.

"Bright ruby-red. Currant, minerals and flowers on the nose. Sweet in the middle but not yet as precise or expressive as the merlot. Boasts strong fruit but comes across as a bit youthfully medicinal at present.
