Estancia Pinot Grigio is produced from grapes grown in cool climate vineyards that are remarkable for their lengthy growing season. The 2007 growing season was ideal with moderate daytime highs and cool nights that resulted in lower yields of flavor-packed berries. The grapes ripened later in the harvest and were bursting with intense flavor and brisk acidity. Hand-selected, whole clusters were gently pressed in traditional basket presses to deliver a wine with elegant, concentrated fruit flavors, a refreshing spicy mid-palate and a flinty, mineral-laced finish.
Appearance: Pale golden straw with a slightly green tint
Aroma: Anjou pear, peach, honeydew melon, lime, rose petal, lemongrass and a dash of spice.
Flavor: Anjou pear, white peach, pink lady apple, honeydew melon, quince, and lychee nut flavors mingle together with white pepper accents and a mineral finish. Medium-full bodied with vibrant fruit intensity.
