Franciscan's 2007 Sauvignon Blanc is a labor of love. It is a blend of fruit from several Napa Valley sub-appellations, made in small lots using a variety of techniques to give each lot the most appropriate attention.
Pale yellow color with enticing aromas of citrus, melon and fig. Fresh and lively. Vibrant, layered flavors of lime, lemongrass and melon with hints of minerality on a crisp, elegant finish.
"For fans of intense, mouthwatering acidity, this has plenty of zing to the lemon-lime, herb and grapefruit flavors. Drink now. 8,000 cases made. –MW" -Rated 86, Wine Spectator
"Well-defined melony fruit joins with a fair bit of herbaceousness in the solidly varietal aromas of this bottling, and the same traits are conveyed in its citrus-tinged flavors as well. It steers to acidy crispness and firms up at the finish, and, if never an especially rich version of Sauvignon Blanc, it is eminently suited to service with sundry fish dishes." -Rated 87, Connoisseur's Guide to California Wines
