Appearance: Deep, dark opaque garnet.

Aroma: Exotic spice, toast and hints of tobacco and mint.

Flavour: Massive and mouthfilling with exotic spice and ripe fruit. Lush, with blackberry and cherry notes and smooth, powerful tannins.

Reviews:

"Soft already, with modest structure holding the red cherry, plum and spice notes together. Supple finish lets an herbal hint linger. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Carmenčre. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 25,000 cases imported. –JM " -Rated 86, Wine Spectator

"Lightly herbal but also showing quality berry, cassis, grilled meat and a light, leafy accent. Bordeaux-like in style, with ripe berry and plum flavors along with a dose of herbs. Confident, controlled wine that doesn’t overdo it. One of the best, if not the best, Primus we’ve tried. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Carmenčre. - M.S. (12/31/2009) " -Rated 90, Wine Enthusiast

" Inky ruby. Fresh red and dark berries on the nose. Lively raspberry and blackcurrant flavors are firmed by tangy minerals and given depth by dark chocolate, picking up fine-grained tannins with air. A refreshingly pure blend, with very good finishing cut and persistence. " -Rated 89, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
