[ Home > Wines > Cabernet > California Cabernet > Paso Creek Cabernet Sauvignon ]|
Dark garnet with cherry hue in the glass with complex layers of black cherry, vanilla, dried fruit and black pepper with a hint of cigar box. A well balanced and firm structure on the palate, deeply concentrated with a touch of chocolate and a rich lingering finish.
Paso Robles is a wine-growing region like few others in California — or the world, for that matter. And it's where Paso Creek makes it stand in pursuit of the bold, brash flavors that have given Paso Robles its reputation (both literally and figuratively) as a "hot" new region for Zinfandel and Bordeaux varietals.
Though the Paso Robles AVA is located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, it couldn't be further away from the mentality of those hectic fair-weathered urban environs. The vibe here is decidedly laid back and agrarian. But don't be fooled by the casual atmosphere. This is serious wine country. That is, without the serious attitude.
