Mature medium ruby-garnet color. Slightly oxidized aromas of stewed or cooked fruit, yet oddly juxtaposed by some green unripe vegetal notes as well. The cool vintage character of hard structure and low fruit sweetness is evident. Acidity is higher than it ought to be, given the lack of ripe fruit character in the finish. A tough year; all right but losing fruit. |
