During the grape growing season, Eastern Washington boasts warm summer days followed by cool nights, ensuring that grapes ripen fully while retaining ample natural acidity. We let our Gewrztraminer attain a high level of ripeness before picking. The resultant wine has aromas of lychee and rose petal. The rich palate is medium-bodied, with lychee, true varietal flavors and a spiciness characteristic of Gewurztraminer. The winemakers suggest pairing the wine with Thai curries or dishes with a sweet peanut sauce.
"Soft, slightly sweet and crisply balanced to show off its rose petal tinged grapefruit and lychee flavors. A fine wine for sipping on its own. Drink now. 9,046 cases made. –HS" - Rated 88, Wine Spectator
"This is off-dry, roughly 2% residual sugar, and it nicely balances the sugar and the acids, using the floral and spicy character of the grape to fill out the middle. It’s a pretty wine, fruity with peach, melon and grapefruit. — P.G. (12/31/2008)" - Rated 86, Wine Enthusiast
