Balanced, bright and harmonious with flavors of black cherry, cocoa and spices framed by dusty tannins. Aged for more than six months in French and American oak puncheons (93 gallon barrels) to reduce the wine to oak ratio and preserve the delicate, spicy fruit. In Chianti-like fashion, it’s bone dry, light and elegantly structured. The fruit’s delicate spicy flavors complement the aromas of cherry pie and nutmeg — just right for serving with duck, pasta marinara, and especially, hard Italian cheeses. The Stelvin screw cap will keep the wine fresh while eliminating the possibility of cork taint. |
