Intense, deep inky color. Already expressing an aroma that is well integrated, silky and refined but powerful. On the palate, an immediate explosion of complexity, where the Cabernet Franc shows its personality, its signature, its finesse, with power that makes the finishe infinitely long. Very ripe currants, blackberry, plum, anise, licorice, white spice and discreet oak. A magnificent bottle.
Blend: 74% Cabernet Franc, 13% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec
French for 'truth', Vérité reflects the brand's commitment to crafting the most authentic expression of the vineyard.

The Vérité Estate is located in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountain range at the southern tip of Sonoma County's Alexander Valley. "The dark, foreboding 2003 Le Desir (44% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Malbec) exhibits an opaque purple color along with scents of incense, fruitcake, black currants, mocha, and berries. Rich, concentrated, tannic, and dense, it appears to be even more backward than La Joie. Nevertheless, it possesses tremendous upside potential. Cellar it for 3-4 years and enjoy it over the following three decades." -Rated 94, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Deep ruby to the rim. Aromas of blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate and licorice. Huge, broad and silky, with a wonderfully suave texture. Flavors of dark berries, chocolate and mocha. As fat as this is, it's also quite lively. Finishes with uncanny breadth, horizontal tannins and outstanding palate-staining persistence." -Rated 94, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
