Kenwood Vineyards Yulupa Chardonnay was created in the early 1990ís to meet the growing demand for restaurant wine-by-the-glass listings. The wine is made in a pleasant, fruity style and pairs nicely with a wide range of foods. Grapes for Yulupa Chardonnay were harvested in September after an exceptional growing season. Eighty percent of the juice was fermented in French oak and aged on the lees and underwent malolactic fermentation to create a subtle round character. The remaining juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright, fresh fruit flavors balanced in this wine.
