BearBoat Pinot Noir, made of 95% Pinot Noir and 5% old vine Gamay Beaujolas grapes, has a delicate body, well-balanced acidity and a lingering finish of strawberries. The cool climate of the Russian River Valley yields concentrated fruit, rich in flavor and tannin. Yields are kept low and the fruit is harvested by hand in small containers to insure the highest quality. BearBoat Pinot Noir is aged at varied intervals in barrels of tightly grained oak, which leads to layers of complexity and balance.
BearBoat 2006 Pinot Noir is a clear pale ruby color with pronounced strawberry and bing cherry aromas. Delicate body, well balanced acidity and lingering finish of strawberries and hint of vanilla spice. Perfect with soy-sauced salmon and pork loin.

Cherries, rhubarb, pomegranates, orange zest, herb tea, clove and pepper all mingle together, enlivened by crisp acidity. — S.H. (12/1/2008)" -Rated 89, Wine Enthusiast
