A multi dimensional bouquet of roasted meats, mineral, cola, tar and blackberry. Give this one time to open up, this monster is built for the long haul! The palate starts out thick and coating; immediately powerful and explosive, you are then thrown a huge chunk of fruit while the acid and tannin roll around trying to tame it. The wine shows great oak handling and remains succulent, complete and perfectly balanced.

They make heady wines that don't weigh you down like some big Shiraz can. This one has zippy acidity to balance the generous layers of black cherry, boysenberry and black plum flavors, shaded with bittersweet chocolate and smoke notes as the finish becomes increasingly plush. Best from 2009 through 2020. 1,050 cases made. –HS" -Rated 95, Wine Spectator Untitled "The stunning 2004 Shiraz Coach House Block reveals a deep ruby/purple hue and plenty of blackberry, cassis, pepper, and smoky, toasty oak flavors. It is an in-your-face wine with beautiful purity as well as intensity. It should be drunk over the next 10-12 years." -Rated 93, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Untitled "Saturated purple. Deep, lush and sweet on the nose, with powerful scents of creme de mure, cassis, boysenberry, dark plum and violet. Then elegant and poised on the palate, showing great sweetness of dark fruit and impressive structure, with lively acidity adding focus. Finishes lush, concentrated and long, with dramatic flavors of boysenberry and blackberry liqueur. While there are tannins here, they're folded completely into the wine's huge fruit.
