"The portfolio begins with the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit for the wine is 100% estate grown with yields a modest 2 tons per acre. The wine was barrel-fermented and aged in French and American oak, 26% new. Dark ruby/crimson-colored, it offers complex aromas of cedar, violets, cassis, and black currants. Medium to full-bodied and smooth-textured, the wine has layered ripe flavors, excellent concentration, and a long, seamless finish. Drink this tasty Cabernet over the next 8-10 years.
Henry’s Drive is owned by Kim and Mark Longbottom with Kim Jackson as winemaker. This task was previously handled by Sparky and Sarah Marquis but in this, the second vintage after their departure, Henry’s Drive has not missed a beat.
