Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of Chateau Rieussec, owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Semillon 85% - Sauvignon 10% - Muscadelle 5%. 2003 will be remembered as the heat wave vintage. The warm weather began as early as March, continuing over the next months with the temperature reaching high peaks from June to August. Intense golden yellow colour. Preserved fruit on the nose, with hints of apricot. A range of flavours on the palate with a harmonious well-rounded first impression.
