Haut Medoc Bordeaux

The first reference to the domain of Bel Air is found in a book of ground rents dating from the 15th c. Next legend rather than history makes it a “folly” built by Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette whose name is known for his disgrace after a stormy exchange with the Duke of Guise. Having known different fortunes, the estate came into the hands of Mme Jean-Louis Triaud, the daughter of Henri Martin the man who made Gloria. Château Bel Air is in point of fact run by the société civile des Domaines Henri Martin which indisputably looks after it with the same meticulous care as at château Saint-Pierre and château Gloria in Saint-Julien. The vineyards at the Bel Air estate cover more than 37 hectares producing about 200 tonneaux
