Boutari Moschofilero (mo-sko-feel-ero) is a premium white wine made from 100% Moschofilero grapes grown in high elevation vineyards in the AOC region of Mantinia in the Peloponnese.
For years Boutari Moschofilero has been an important selling white wine in Greece and, until recently, a virtual unknown in the United States. That was until Tony Terlato discovered it in a blind tasting at Paterno Wines Internationalís corporate headquarters. From his first sip, he believed this little gem, so rich in flavor, was a secret just waiting to be appreciated in the United States. The explosion in sales of Boutari Moschofilero supports his initial prediction; national press, leading restaurateurs, wine retailers and consumers across the country have embraced this crisp, refreshing white wine with enticing citrus, floral and melon aromas.
The Boutari winery's vinification of Moschofilero is a breakthrough for Greek wines...and it just might be the start of the next white wine revolution!
Color: A brilliant, crystal-clear, white yellow color with green tints.
Aroma: A fresh white wine with intense floral (white rose) and fruity (melon and citrus trees) aromas.
Taste: A well-balanced refreshing wine with intense flavor and a long aromatic finish of orange blossom and grapefruit.
