Wine Background
The grapes are 100% Chardonnay from our vineyards Potrero Grande in Villa Alegre, located in the Maule Valley. The grapevines are 10 years old..
Grapes are harvested within the first 15 days of March in loads of small capacity to avoid bruising, and transported to our cellars. The maceration of the skin lasts 3 hours at a temperature of 10ºC to reach the characteristics of this varietal. Fermentation takes place for 14 days in temperature-controlled casks of low capacity. Thereafter, the wine is clarified and stabilized.
Then, the wine is bottled and kept in our cellars to remain there for three months in an absolute resting position, before we consider it ready to be released.
WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES
