Cantina Terlano’s Pinot Grigio is light straw in color with pleasant aromas of ripe melon and freshly picked MacIntosh apples. Crisp and light on the palate with lovely pineapple, Bartlett pear and apple flavors that harmoniously intermingle with orange zest and almond notes. The finish lingers with spicy tropical fruit. Paris equally well with light seafood dinners and richer cream-based sauces.
"Floral and fresh on the nose, with just a hint of sliced white peach. Medium-bodied, with fresh acidity and a clean finish. Bright and fruity. Drink now. 3,300 cases made. –JS" -Rated 87, Wine Spectator
"The 2007 Pinot Grigio offers a little more weight and roundness than the Pinot Bianco but with less complexity. Still, it is a very pleasant, perfumed Pinot Grigio that captures the essence of Alto Adige. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
Cantina di Terlano is one of my favorite sources for value-priced wines in Alto Adige. The winery was founded over 100 years ago. Like many estates in the region, Terlano is a cooperative, yet the wines are first-class in every sense of the term.
