Comprising 51% Shiraz and 49% Cabernet Sauivignon the wine displays flavours of ripe plum jam and blackberries from the Shiraz components together with more subtle notes of mint and spice produced from Cabernet Sauvignon portions. Fine tannins lengthen the palate and toasty oak, gained from 12 months maturation in a mixture of older French and American oak barrels, adds further complexity to the blend. A wine made for immediate consumption or, if you prefer the more developed flavours of chocolate and truffle, 3 or 4 years in the cellar should bring this about. |
