Briarcrest is composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested from superb hillside and benchland vineyards in Alexander Valley. The grapes were harvested between September 16 and October 6 of 2004, at an average 25.5º Brix.
The 2004 Briarcrest casts a deep black ruby color and has aromas of cassis, blackberry liqueur, and licorice with hints of lavender, cedar, coriander and cumin. It is powerful and supple with a concentrated, fleshy mid-palate of blackberry fruit, tobacco and graphite flavors finishing with notes of dark chocolate and espresso.
