Color: Rich, deep red/garnet, almost black. Nose: Floral aromas mingle with deep rich notes of toffee, cassis, blackberries and cherries. There is a nice smoky barrel character with notes of cream, baking spice and some cedar and mineral aromas. Mouth: This is a smooth, rich, mouth filling blend that is well balanced across the whole palate. There are soft well integrated tannins that provide structure and a nice lingering finish. The wine shows nice ripe fruit flavors of cherries and blackberries. There are French oak barrel notes of smoke mixed with vanilla and spices. |
