This large 72-acre estate’s youngest vines are 33 years old, followed by a parcel of 45-year old vines, and two large parcels of 73 and 96-year old vines. The wine is kept one year in tank and then moved to small barrels where it spends another two years before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
"Black cherry and currant fruit flavors are ripe and focused in this supple red, with light but firm tannins and a pretty floral finish. Drink now through 2010. 600 cases imported. –TM" -Rated 87, Wine Spectator
"Toasty, sweet oak, nice open perfume. Concentrated red berry fruit. Very fruity and pure. Very good effort. Drink up to 2010." -Rated 3 Stars, Decanter
