This wine is produced from grapes grown in several estate-owned vineyards. The Rossj vineyard, planted in 1984, is named for Angelo Gaja's younger daughter Rossana, (Rossj).
Aroma: Fine perfume of citrus fruits and flowers with a hint of honey.
Taste: Considerable depth. Elegant body, definite character and good acidity; a fresh, lingering finish.
"Full-bodied and powerful, with layers of pineapple and cream and apple tart character. Almost like a red in texture and length, but delivers loads of fresh fruit and crisp acidity. Beautiful. Chardonnay, with a dash of Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. 2,250 cases made. –JS" -Rated 92, Wine Spectator
"Bright yellow-gold color. Complex aromas of yellow fruits, flowers and honey. Supple, fat and almost surprisingly sweet for this bottling, but with lively acidity guaranteeing freshness. Finishes with noteworthy persistence. I like this chardonnay's combination of richness and verve, and prefer it to the 2006." -Rated 90, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
