Xplorador Merlot was hand- and mechanically harvested, at the end of March and early April. Sixty-five percent of the wine is aged in small American oak for six to eight months, and 35% in stainless steel. It is a round and well balanced wine. A perfect complement to cheese, pasta and turkey.
The color is dark and deep red. It has mature red fruit character married with coffee and vanilla. Hints of plum and spice on the palate, generously framed by toasty American oak.
