Bordeaux Pessac-Leognan
This reasonably-priced, unheralded Pessac-Leognan estate has fashioned their finest offering to date. Earthy, dried herb, ketchup, black currant, and barbecue spices result in a complex aromatic profile. Elegant, medium-bodied, rich, and flavorful, with supple tannin as well as a surprisingly long, authoritative finish, this is a sleeper of the vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2015.
