Bordeaux Haut Medoc
Attractive aromas of raspberries, with a hint of toasted oak. Medium- to full-bodied, with berry and chocolate flavors and a long to medium finish. Score range: 89-91 Wine Spectator
87-88 Robert Parker
Several centuries ago, vines made their appearance at Camensac round a chartreuse (Bordeaux-style country residence) whose origins date back to the 18th c. Since the very outset, the growth has been owned by only four succeeding families. The present day owners acquired Camensac in 1964. Situated in the very heart of a constellation of top growths, the terroir of Camensac does not derogate from this quality. The vineyard covers some 75 hectares of magnificent gravelly coteaux mainly composed of deep well-drained gravel. In fact the high quality of this terroir and its already well established reputation earned it the rank of a classified growth, 1855.
