Puisseguin St. Emilion Bordeaux The vineyard has been handed down from father to son since 1790. Legend relates that a prince was born at the time Henri IV was in the vicnity.. An ancestor of the proprietors took part in the conquest of Mexico (1862-1867) under Napoleon with emperor Maximillian. He founded a family there who made this growth known. The property today brings together the estatesanils undoubtedly on of the best situated in the Puisseguin appelation. Planted to fine grape varieties across hill crests oriented in such a way that it gets excellent sunlight and perfect aeration which enables it to produce a healthy vintage at full muturity. In a general way the wines from this property display a sustained colour, well built and tannic, yet at the same time soft and refined, They age well in the bottle and can deep form many long years. This is a 70 ha vineayrds planted 5,500 vines/ha average age of the vines 30 years the soil and subsoil clayey limestone grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Cabernet Franc 15 % Merlot Noir 70% length of vating 15 days ageing 100% new barrels and in vats length of ageing 12 months. |
