Our Sauvignon Blanc vineyards produce very site-specific aromatics and flavors typ-ical of the gravelly benchlands of northern Alexander Valley. The 1999 vintage is particularly good example of the bright citrus (grapefruit) zest aromas with floral and ripe melon overtones. The flavor profile follows seamlessly from the nose and includes some mineral, lime and just a hint of the toasty French oak. This well-bal-anced wine is styled to showcase the high quality fruit first, followed by barrel fer-mentation that adds roundness and nuances of complexity to the finish.
