The aroma of this intense wine is dominated by wild blackberry, tobacco, soy sauce, green tea and an earthy component that brings to mind freshly cut herbs and damp green forests. The palate features a medley of dark fruits including blackberry, currant, and black cherry followed by notes of unsweetened cocoa, crème brulee, and caramel. This Merlot defines the term full-bodied, with chewy tannins and an intense finish. This wine would benefit from 2-3 years of bottle aging, after which it will continue to develop for at least a decade.
