It is the most noble of the varietals and the most true to itself. The nuances that are revealed in each taste and each swirl of the glass are fascinating. This wine starts with distinct flavors and aromas redolent of deep, dark fruit - blackberries and cassis - only to reveal subtle vanilla mocha notes and hints of spicy cinnamon and nutty oak. I love this wine - so I drink it with almost anything.
