[ Home > Chimney Rock Elevage 2009 ]|
In 1990 Chimney Rock crated their first vintage of their proprietarily named red wine blend: Chimney Rock Elevage. This French word literally means ‘rearing’ or ‘breeding’. When applied to wine, it describes the transition that takes place between fermentation and bottling, suggesting that the winemaker’s role is that of a proud parent, who guides the young wine through its critical journey from barrel to bottle.
Color: Dark red with purple hue
Aroma: Classic Stags Leap District aromatic profile with layers of blackberry, blueberry, black currant, highlighted with vanilla, coffee bean and dark chocolate.
Taste: The velvet palate is back with the elegant tannins that Elevage is known for. Round and pleasant with no hard edges, this wine has beautiful fruit on delivery with a luscious mid-palate and a long finish.
