The Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby Premium bourbon whiskey has been crafted on the site of the Labrot & Graham Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky since 1812, 63 years before Aristides won the inaugural Kentucky Derby. This National Historic Landmark remains the oldest working distillery in Kentucky and the only place where you can see two of Kentucky's most famous products - bourbon whiskey and thoroughbred horses - maturing side by side. In commemoration of the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs and the Labrot & Graham Distillery are proud to bring you this limited edition bottling of Woodford Reserve bourbon. Woodford Reserve's affiliation with the Sport of Kings also includes its sponsorship of the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, the Grade I stakes race that precedes the “Run for the Roses” on May 3, 2003. Since its first running in 1987, the Turf Classic race has become one of thoroughbred racing’s premier events for horses that run on grass. Woodford Reserve is honored to have been selected for such an important role on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs, the “World’s Most Legendary Race Track”. |
