"Lots of berry pie and rich fruit on the nose, but it is fresh and silky. Solid core of fruit. This is an interesting wine. I have never tasted it before. It is complex. One to watch." -Rated 89-91, Wine Spectator
"The winemaking consultant for this 30-year-old, 23-acre vineyard is Stephane Derenoncourt. A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a big, rich perfume of vanilla, chocolate, black cherries, plums, figs, and crushed rocks. On the palate, it reveals black fruits, medium to full body, a modern style, soft tannin, and low acidity. It should drink well for 10-12 years, possibly longer." -Rated 90, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Medium red. Slightly high-toned aromas of red fruits, leather and menthol. Sweet and fat with fruit, showing good definition and freshness for the vintage. Not as fine-grained as the 2005 but nicely broad on the back and long on personality." -Rated 88, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
