Robert Parker Rating 90-92
The 2003 Carruades de Lafite, an outstanding second wine, is one of the few 2003s
in which I detected roasted characteristics in the bouquet. This fat, broad, fleshy,
succulent effort should drink well for 10-15 years.
Wine Spectator Rating 89-91
Beautiful spice, tobacco, cedar and blackberry aromas. Medium- to full-bodied,
with sweet plum and silky tannins. Long and pretty. Almost 92-94. -- J.S.
Decanter Rating 4 stars
Very deep ruby, floral and fragrant nose, almost delicate it is so elegant, lovely
lissom palate and then the ripeness of the grapes kicks in to give more power
than expected, beautiful balance despite the high tannins. 2009-25.
