Usually we think of these gnarly old vines as crusty characters, but this wine - with it's deep berry flavors, balanced acidity, and beautiful aging structure - comes off as a dapper sophisticate. You'll find it versatile, matching well with a grilled steak, pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil, or grilled barbeque fare. But leave the tails and spats in the closet, at least for the barbeque!"
