The Dragonstone is Leitz's entry level wine. Though from the Drachenstein (Dragonstone) vineyard and picked at 90 Oechsle (Spätlese quality) it is declassified to a QbA. However, this has resulted in what is possibly our best value wine on the 'shelves'. It has soft sweet notes enveloping bracing and mouth-watering acidity. An absolute joy and the perfect choice for a lunchtime glass of wine when you still want a clear head in the afternoon.
An explosive nose full of tart pineapple, green apple and lemony aromas; there are touches white flowers too. The palate is like biting into a Granny Smith apple and licking a piece of pumice! Touches of pear, grapefruit and honey appear too on a monumentally long finish for its price.
