A wonderful Pinot Noir from a world class producer that belongs on your dinner table, and a must try wine. The Santa Barbara County bottling is Au Bon Climat's entry level Pinot Noir, and is produced in large enough quantities that the wine can be found on the marketplace with relative ease.
The wine's appeal starts with its color: dark, with a rich hue that definitely says "Pinot Noir". When you smell the wine, the bouquet is subtle, showing a variety of black and red fruits, plus some spice comes comes through on the nose.
The good stuff really kicks in when you taste this wine. There’s abundant, rich, ripe, succulent, Pinot Noir fruit, in perfect balance, backed by good acidity, with good concentration (depth of flavor).
