Located near Toulouse in the southwest of France, the vineyard is primarily planted with Pinot St. George(aka Negrette). Small plots of Gamay and Cabernet Franc supplement the cuvee. The wine is deeply colored and intense, marrying a smooth fruity palate with complex aromas of violet and cherries. It finishes clean and fresh with a touch of oak that adds structure and dimension. Best served at 55-60 degrees, Saint Louis Rouge is a fine complement to grilled meat, duck, poultry, and cheese.
