[ Home > Wines > Spanish Wines > Celler Marti Fabra Masia Carreras 2004 ]|
Dark ruby color with chocolate rum cake, berries and toast on the nose. Flavors of cherry liquor, cocoa, pain grille, black fruit and roses. Smooth with lots of power and finesse and a nice harmonious finish.
"The 2004 Masia Carreras is 50% Garnacha, 35% Carinena, and the balance Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. The wine was aged in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Opaque and brooding, it reveals notes of crushed stone, wood smoke, leather, red cherry, and black raspberry. On the palate the wine is slightly compact but 2-3 years of additional cellaring should round it out." -Rated 90, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
