The vineyards of Monte Oton are situated high on the windswept slopes of the extinct volcano, Moncayo. The sun-drenched arid location is ideal for harvesting perfectly matured, fully ripened Garnacha grapes. The resulting wine is full bodied, elegantly textured and exhibits a long complex finish.

Reviews:

"The 2007 Monte Oton is 100% Garnacha. Dark ruby-colored, the nose delivers aromas of mineral, cherry, and earth notes. This is followed by a medium-bodied wine with excellent depth, ripeness and a lengthy finish. It’s a mighty serious effort for its tiny price." -Rated 88, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Untitled
"Warm, crusty and attractive up front, with a ripe blend of plum, raspberry and pepper flavors. Seems plush and focused for such an inexpensive wine, yet it’s also a little bit juicy and wild. Made in the fresh style that Borsao excels at. Drink now. — M.S. (12/15/2008)" -Rated 87, Wine Enthusiast
Untitled
"Deep, bright red. Pinot-like aromas of red berries and cherry, complicated by baking spice and subtle herbal qualities. Light, pure and focused, offering sweet strawberry and raspberry flavors and good back-end lift. A lithe, strikingly fresh wine that would be good with a light chill. This is another unreal bargain." -Rated 88, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
