Color should never be a problem with Petite Sirah, and this wine is no exception. It is a deep, saturated dark red/black bruiser with a nose of seared beef, wet river stones and blackberries. The tannins are sweet revealing notes of graphite, smoke, blueberries and cassis. Made from two blocks on the estate planted to selections out of the old Park Muscatine vineyard, the wine drinks well now but will certainly benefit from time.
